We have been developing an Information Extraction System NIX (News Item eXtractor). The pictures listed below are copies of the display of several versions of NIX system. The live demonstration is available on this URL by (Japanese).
It is ture that the real time processing must be provided when processing wire news delivered through Internet. For the purpose we adopted a careful approach which enables us to manage it with high speed by linguistically surface processing.
We are using news articles on new products from Nihon Keizai Shinbun (Japan Economic Newspaper CD-ROM '90,'91,'92,'93,'94.
